Hey there, beauties! Let's talk about something crucial today - using SPF in the winter! I'm Dr. Kristen Blume, and I'm here to share why it's vital to continue using SPF, even when the temperatures drop.

Although the sun may not be as intense in winter, its harmful UV rays can still reach your skin, leading to potential damage. Snow can also reflect these rays, increasing your exposure. That's why applying sunscreen with a high SPF is key to protecting your skin.

Dr. Blume recommends using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Reapply every 2 hours, especially if you're outdoors for extended periods or participating in winter sports. Even on cloudy days, UV rays can penetrate through, so don't skip this essential step.

Remember, your skin needs protection year-round. Incorporating sunscreen into your daily routine can help prevent premature aging, sunburns, and reduce the risk of skin cancer. So, don't forget to slather on that SPF even when the temperatures drop!
